The Siring Agung Village Youth Organization in Semende Darat Ulu, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra, held a farewell event for the UNSRI Palembang Community Service Program (KKN).
The event was led by the Village Head of Siring Agung, Alfian Munawar, along with all members of the Siring Agung Village Youth Organization (Karang Taruna), Semende Darat Ulu.
In his remarks, Alfian Munawar, as Village Head, expressed his deep gratitude for the UNSRI Community Service Program (KKN), which has worked in synergy with the community, particularly the residents of Siring Agung Village.
Alfian Munawar also added, “To all the young men and women of the youth organization, as well as all the UNSRI KKN students, I am very happy to welcome these young people—the future generation of Indonesia—who are currently still in our village. There is indeed a saying that ‘every meeting is inevitably followed by a parting’; therefore, on behalf of the youth organization and our community, I would like to apologize if any of our community members or ourselves have caused any inconvenience during your research. Once again, I offer my sincere apologies.”
This farewell event was held at the Office of the Village Head of Siring Agung, SDU.
The farewell ceremony included the sacrifice of a goat to be shared as a meal with the UNSRI Palembang KKN students.
The KKN group leader also addressed the entire Siring Agung Village Youth Organization with a farewell message: “We, the UNSRI Palembang KKN students, are deeply grateful to the Village Head of Siring Agung, as well as to the Siring Agung Village Youth Organization, for welcoming us from the very beginning until now. Although we have only a few days left before we return home, we are deeply grateful. We, the UNSRI KKN students, would like to offer our sincerest apologies for any mistakes or shortcomings on our part,” he said.
At the end of the event, a meal was served and a group photo was taken. “Hopefully, in the coming year, activities like this can take place again,” Alfian Munawar concluded to the media.
