The event took place at the Bangun Sari Badminton Court in Bangun Jaya Village, North Pagaralam Subdistrict.

In his remarks, Samsul Bahri Burlian expressed his appreciation for the initiative of the Unsri KKNT students in organizing this event.

He noted that this effort aligns with Pagaralam’s vision as a premier tourist city in South Sumatra.

“Pagaralam is known as a tourist city, and the culinary sector is one of the main focuses in the city’s tourism development. Activities like this greatly support the promotion of local culture and the local economy,” said Samsul.

Samsul also encouraged the continuation of this culinary tourism event, featuring more innovations, including cultural arts and local specialties.

This is considered important for introducing local heritage to the younger generation while also enhancing Pagaralam’s appeal as a tourist destination.

“Hopefully, these culinary tourism events will not only serve as a form of entertainment but also help boost the local economy, particularly in the culinary sector,” he added.

The event featured a variety of local culinary offerings as well as live music performances, which drew the attention of local residents.

This event is expected to serve as a first step in developing tourism potential based on the creative economy in Pagar Alam.

With the support of the Pagar Alam City Government and the enthusiasm of the KKNT Unsri students, events like this are expected to become a regular fixture that supports the city’s economic and tourism growth.
